Evan Jager won his sixth consecutive men's 3,000-meter steeplechase title in 8:16.88 at the USATF Outdoor Championships at Hornet Stadium at Sacramento State. Only Henry Marsh (1981-87) has a longer streak at seven in a row than Jager.
