IAAF Ratifies Dalilah Muhammad's 400-Meter Hurdles World Record from the USATF Outdoor Championships

By Adam Kopet

The IAAF announced Wednesday that it has ratified the 400-meter hurdles world record set by Dalilah Muhammad at the USATF Outdoor Championships in July.

Muhammad ran 52.20 to shatter the previous world record of 52.34 from 2003.

The IAAF also ratified another hurdle record, that being the world U-20 record in the 100-meter hurdles. Britany Anderson of Jamaica ran 12.79 and then 12.71 in the prelims and final at the Motonet Grand Prix. Both times broke the previous record of 12.84 from 1987.
