Michael Norman, a Nike professional athlete, won the men's 400-meter title in 44.07 seconds at the United States Olympic Team Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Norman placed fifth in the 200 meters in his Olympic Trials debut in 2016. He secured his first U.S. national title, returning to Hayward Field, where he captured the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor crown and set the collegiate record of 43.61 in the 400 competing for USC in 2018.
