Christina Clemons, an adidas professional athlete, edged Gabriele Cunningham by a 12.521 to 12.526 margin to place third in the women's 100-meter hurdles final at the United States Olympic Team Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Clemons made her first Olympic team after finishing 13th at the 2016 Trials. She has previously competed for the U.S. at the 2017 World Outdoor Championships in the 100-meter hurdles and the 2018 World Indoor Championships in the 60-meter hurdles, earning a silver medal in Birmingham, England.
