Alexander Young took third in the men's hammer throw with a personal-best 256-11 (78.32m) on his final attempt at the United States Olympic Team Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Young, who has represented the U.S. at the 2017 World Championships, earned his first Olympic berth in the deepest men's hammer throw competition in American history.
